30 Migrants, Including 17 Bangladeshis, Detained in Malaysia
The Malaysian Immigration Department has detained 30 migrants, including 17 Bangladeshis, in a series of raids conducted in the Kota Bharu area of Kelantan state.
According to a statement by Nik Akhtarul Haq Nik Abdul Ran, Deputy Director (Management) of the Kelantan Immigration Department, the raids targeted several locations, including supermarkets, iron factories, houses, and restaurants around Kota Bharu. Among those detained were 17 Bangladeshis, 2 Pakistanis, 9 Thais, 1 Indian, and 1 Myanmar national. The detainees have been placed in the Tanah Merah Immigration Depot for further investigation.
Nik Akhtarul Haq emphasized that strict actions will be taken against those harboring illegal immigrants. He also urged the public to provide information about any illegal activities involving foreigners.
