Sky Bees Limited, a newly established company, has announced an investment of Tk 550 crore to set up a drone manufacturing facility in Bangladesh. The company signed an agreement with the Bangladesh Export processing zones authority (BEPZA) for land at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Shilpa Nagar in Chattogram’s Mirsarai upazila. 

The factory will focus on producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for various applications, including firefighting, cinematography, mapping, and surveillance. Sky Bees aims to start production in early 2025 and expects to export UAVs worth $169 million annualy.
